A new gallery of ghost town night photography in the Rand Mining Area is available on my website. The images are from the Atolia tungsten mine, and an abandoned mining settlement behind the town of Red Mountain. Randsburg, Johannesburg, and Red Mountain are living ghost towns in the Mojave Desert located on Highway 395 between Kramer Junction and Ridgecrest. Don't miss the Rand Desert Museum's wonderful collection of old photos, maps, and mining share certificates. Tune in next week for a gallery of night photography from the town of Randsburg.
