Night Photography Workshop Example Schedule Lancaster is a 6 hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area, and 2+ hour drive from the Los Angeles area. If you're traveling by air, the closest international airport is Los Angeles. Please allow plenty of time for the drive and make sure you're well rested for a late night of photography on Thursday. We strongly suggest arriving on Wednesday afternoon so you're fresh. We can email you some suggestions for nearby places to explore before, or after the workshop. The following schedule applies to the September 2012 workshop, and is subject to change: Day One 11:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. -- Arrive at the workshop, meet and greet in Lancaster. 12:00 p.m. -- Lecture: NP and LP Technique overview, review of Troy and Joe's photos, and logistics/shooting strategies. 3:00 p.m. -- Classroom ends. Travel to the yard, stock up on food and drinks. 5:30 p.m. -- Meet at the yard for daylight scouting, photography. 6:40 p.m. -- Sunset (Moonrise at 5:44 p.m. - 98%) 5:45 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. -- Shooting in the yard. Day Two Sleep in and process your images for review. 12:30 p.m. -- Lecture: Critique images shot the previous night to help you improve your shooting tonight. Bring your best 4 images from last night. 3:30 p.m. -- Classroom ends. Travel to the yard, stock up on food and drinks. 5:45 p.m. -- Meet at the yard for daylight scouting, photography. 6:39 p.m. -- Sunset (Moonrise at 6:16 p.m. - 100%) 5:45 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. -- Shooting in the yard. Day Three Get some sleep. 12:30 p.m. -- Lecture: Post-production techniques using Photoshop and Lightroom. 3:30 p.m. -- Classroom ends.
